c lee2Film legend Sir Christopher Lee has died at the age of 93.


I remember the actor in the Horror films of the 1950s and 1960s before he became well known to a new generation through his role in fantasy blockbusters such as Star Wars, The Man With The Golden Gun, Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit.

He died at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London on Sunday morning after three weeks of treatment, for heart failure and respiratory problems.  His widow decided to withhold the news so family and friends could be informed.

When I was very young Christopher Lee with his piercing cold eyes, frightening strong voice and chilling presence frighten me and millions of others people over the decades playing Dracula.

His menacing charisma established him early on as one of the film industry’s world-class villains and he went on to star in more than 260 movies before his death at 93.
